We’ve heard moms and birthing people tell their stories — transportation challenges, the fear of being judged, language barriers, and the crushing weight of trying to afford care without insurance. But these aren’t just stories we’ve heard. They’re stories that some members of the Maternal Health Collective of York and Adams Counties have lived themselves.
The stories and challenges we’ve witnessed moved us to bring together community partners, health care providers, and advocates who are committed to improving the health and well-being of moms, birthing people, and families across the two counties we represent. We serve as a resource hub, connect people to care, and work to make sure that people who face the greatest barriers are never left behind.
We believe that every person in York and Adams Counties deserves access to quality, culturally appropriate maternal health care — where they feel supported, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their own health and lives.
